Description

From Australian author Emma Clare

What happens when a piece of toast has had enough of being buttered and decides to chase stardom?

Meet Toast-Face, the most dramatic slice ever popped from a toaster – armed with googly eyes, zero regrets and a voice loud enough to wake the neighbours. He teams up with sneaky Spoon (dreaming of wild freedom beyond the dishwasher), gloomy Raspberry Surprise the jam jar (full of seeds and existential dread), and cool, tangy OJ the orange juice jug (manager extraordinaire, always ready with a splash of sarcasm).

Together, they're The Breakfast Brawlers – the world's most chaotic travelling breakfast band! From letterbox gigs in suburban backyards to a moonlit rooftop concert at the local IGA, this runaway crew belts out terrible tunes about burnt edges, being spread too thin, and popping up when nobody expects you to.

Expect magpies headbanging, possums DJing from bins, and one very confused worm forgetting the lyrics. Will they conquer Brisbane? Or at least avoid the birds?

Crunchy, juicy, seedy and utterly hilarious – a deliciously silly adventure about friendship, rebellion and the joy of running away from breakfast duty!

A crunchy journey from toaster to the big stage… because every breakfast deserves its own epic tale!
